Lean IT

Lean IT is the application of "Lean" principles to the development and management of IT, reducing defects, over-provision, unproductive work and products, and other forms of waste common in most IT departments. Wikipedia provides an excellent overview of Lean IT

In addition to the basic principles of Lean, which are very simple, it is possible to significantly improve the quality and effectiveness of IT provision through Kaisen related continuous improvement / TQM methodologies such as "Leadership Through Quality" and "Six Sigma".

SBA's Steve Burrows is a keen advocate of Lean IT, whether delivered through formal methodologies or simple business common sense. He can implement a Lean approach to IT within your organisation, and provide training, coaching and ongoing support and supervision to ensure that the benefits of a Lean IT operation are realised and maintained.
